Head Type 12 is our all-purpose single spring unit. Its unique design eliminates fretting and stress on the seal components. Both long and short working lengths are available to accommodate most stuffing box configurations. Standard materials of construction are 18-8 SS metal parts and springs, carbon face and Buna-N elastomers. Various stationary designs and material are available as mating ring surfaces.

Head Type 12D is the double seal version of Head Type 12. This seal is recommended for applications where positive lubrication is required. Common applications include sewage waste water pumps and construction de-watering pumps. Materials of construction are the same as Head Type 12.

Head Type 61 is our unitized single unit. It is designed to handle fluid and gas applications on rotary shaft sizes 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" and 1". This design features more even spring loading, excellent flexibility to compensate for seal ring wear and has a greater range of installation tolerance variations. Materials of construction for general service are 18-8 SS metal parts and springs, Buna-N elastomers and phenolic seal rings. Also available for extreme operating conditions are 316 SS or monel metal components, carbon-silbide or tungsten seal rings and Viton-EPR or neoprene elastomers.

Head Type 86 is our low cost single spring seal designed for use in well pumps, swimming pool filter pumps and general purpose circulating pumps. The spring loaded portion of the seal remains stationary as the mating ring rotates. This design has excellent internal pressure capabilities and is directly interchangeable with competitive seals. Available for shaft sizes 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", and 3/4".
