Double Cartridge Mounted Seals

RBD Repair Kit Available

RBD (Reciprocal Balanced Duplex Cartridge Mounted Seal)

SEPCO RBD seals are used in applications where product leakage of hazardous, toxic and costly products cannot be tolerated and/or applications which require positive lubrication without dilution of pumped product.

Cartridge Mounted: Factory assembled and pressure tested prior to shipment.
Slotted Gland: The slotted gland offers more versatility with bolting patterns.
Compact Design: Permits use in smaller ANSI pumps without equipment modifications including those with 5/16" cross section stuffing boxes.
Stationary Seal Design: Eliminates spring fatigue and automatically aligns seal faces at a perfect right angle to pump shaft.
Reciprocal Balance: Can be used as a double or tandem seal.
No Installation Measurements: Mechanics are not required to make critical installation measurements in order to install the seal.
Longer Seal Life: All O-rings and tabs are virtually static during normal service conditions and are not required to adjust for misalignment, therefore they last longer.
Impeller Adjustments in Service: Disassembling the pump is unnecessary to make clearance adjustments. The cartridge unit allows you to easily perform this operation.

ESD Repair Kit Available

ESD (Cartridge Mounted Double Mechanical Seal)

The SEPCO ESD seal is designed as a double seal for use in corrosive applications which require positive lubrication without dilution of the pumped product.

Slotted Glands: The slotted gland offers more versatility with bolting patterns.
Extreme Corrosion Resistance: The metal parts of the seal are isolated and not wetted by the pumped product. Standard alloys can be used, which makes the ESD an economical alternative to double seal designs which must utilize exotic alloys.
Abrasion/Corrosion Resistant Faces: The inboard seal faces of the ESD are made of carsil and silbide. These face materials offer excellent resistance to both abrasion and corrosion.
Fits Narrow Stuffing Boxes: Permits use in smaller ANSI pumps without equipment modifications, including those with 5/16" cross section stuffing boxes.
Ease of Installation: The seal is pre-assembled and set at the factory. Mechanics are not required to make critical installation measurements in order to install the seal.
Impeller Adjustments in Service: Disassembling the pump is not necessary to make impeller clearance adjustments.

PRO Repair Kit Available

The PRO seal repair kit permits you to make repairs in the field. Mating rings, O-rings, springs and set screws may easily be replaced at the job site at a reasonable cost. It is not necessary to return the seal to the manufacturer when repairs are needed. This saves you both time and money.

PRO (Progressive Cavity Duplex Cartridge Mounted Seals)

SEPCO PRO seals are used in applications on progressive capacity pumps where positive lubrication is required without dilution of the pumped product.

Elliptical Gland: Designed to fit the tight clearances encountered on progressive cavity pumps.
Cartridge Mounted: Cartridge mounted for ease of installation. The seal is preset at the factory and pressure tested prior to shipment.
Stationary Seal Design: This design eliminates spring fatigue and wear in the secondary areas of the seal.
Balanced Design: The seal is balanced to handle higher pressures.
This seal can be designed to fit virtually any progressive cavity pump application, including a single cartridge seal.
